Vintage French Gilt Metal Chandelier with Turquoise Opaline Glass – 6-Light

A truly enchanting vintage chandelier, its gilt metal frame rising through three graceful thirds of cascading turquoise opaline glass beads and teardrops, culminating in a lush fringe at the base. Six scrolled arms hold matching turquoise opaline bobèches beneath classic faux-candle sleeves, creating a soft, romantic glow. The rich blue hue and generous layered silhouette make this a truly special statement piece, evoking the timeless charm of a French château dining room.

Circa mid-20th century, in the beloved tradition of French tole and opaline candlesticks, complete and in beautiful condition.

Dimensions:
Diameter: 50 cm (19.7 in)
Height (fixture only, no chain): 60 cm (23.6 in)
Total height (with chain): 80 cm (31.5 in)

Material: Gilt metal, opaline glass

Condition: Beautiful vintage condition, complete with all beading and drops intact, with age-appropriate patina to the gilding. A stunning, well-preserved example of mid-century French chandelier design.

Wiring note: This fixture is hardwired (no plug) and installed by an electrician, just like any chandelier or sconce. The original European wiring works perfectly on US current — lower voltage means less strain, not more. Note: as with most vintage European lighting, it does not carry UL certification.
