Antique 19th Century Gothic Revival Bronze & Gilt Brass Church Lantern

A remarkable large-scale antique hanging fixture in the Gothic Revival style, cast in bronze and gilt brass with exceptional architectural detail: openwork tracery panels, quatrefoil piercings, crocketed finials, and slender corner pinnacles reminiscent of ecclesiastical stonework. This piece has no lighting mechanism currently fitted — it was likely originally designed to hold candles or a hanging census, in the tradition of grand 19th century church and cathedral fixtures.

An exceptional architectural antique, ideal for a collector, a church restoration project, or as a dramatic sculptural piece in a grand interior.

Dimensions:
Total height: 105 cm (41.3 in)
Diameter: 50 cm (19.7 in)

Material: Bronze, gilt brass

Condition: Good overall antique condition, with wear to the gilding consistent with age. No lighting system is present. A striking piece of 19th century ecclesiastical design.

Please note: this piece will be professionally disassembled for secure shipping and will need to be reassembled upon arrival — a straightforward process given its architectural construction.
Carefully packed and shipped from France. Please message with any questions — happy to provide additional photos or details.
