Pair of Vintage Italian Painted Tole & Wrought Iron Wall Sconces – 2-Light

A charming pair of vintage wall sconces, their wrought iron frames scrolled into graceful acanthus leaf motifs and hand-painted in warm tones of green, red, and blue. Two candle arms extend from each sconce, finished with classic flame-tip bulbs nestled in painted tulip-form bobeches. The rich, faded paint gives these pieces a wonderful sense of age and character.

Material: Wrought iron, painted tole

Condition: Vintage condition with paint loss consistent with age, adding to the piece's character. The original wiring is old but in working order.

Sockets: Fitted with 2 European E14 sockets per sconce. US buyers may wish to use E14-compatible bulbs sourced locally, or have sockets converted by an electrician if standard US E26/candelabra bulbs are preferred.

Wiring note: These fixtures are hardwired (no plug) and installed by an electrician, just like any chandelier or sconce. The original European wiring works perfectly on US current — lower voltage means less strain, not more. Note: as with most vintage European lighting, they do not carry UL certification. Given the age of this wiring, some buyers choose to have it inspected or replaced by a licensed electrician for extra peace of mind.
