Vintage Italian Gilt Beaded Chandelier – Turquoise Glass Drops & Macaroni Beads – 1-Light

A truly enchanting vintage cage chandelier, its gilt metal frame draped in swags of frosted "macaroni" glass beads and hung with dozens of turquoise glass drops and clear glass rosettes. The center is a carved giltwood baluster, and a faceted crystal ball hangs at the base. A single light glows from the heart of the cage, for a soft, romantic effect in a bedroom, powder room, or entryway. In the tradition of the Tuscan beaded chandeliers so loved for their delicate color and generous detail.

Dimensions:
Diameter: 37 cm (14.6 in)
Height (fixture only, no chain): 55 cm (21.7 in)
Total height (with chain): 70 cm (27.6 in)

Material: Gilt metal, giltwood, glass beads and drops

Condition: Very good overall vintage condition, in good working order. Light wear to the gilding on the wooden center section and some oxidation to the metal, consistent with age.
Sockets: Fitted with 1 European E27 socket. US buyers can use an E27-compatible bulb sourced locally, or have the socket converted by an electrician if a standard US E26 bulb is preferred.
Wiring note: This fixture is hardwired (no plug) and installed by an electrician, just like any chandelier or sconce. The original European wiring works perfectly on US current — lower voltage means less strain, not more. Note: as with most vintage European lighting, it does not carry UL certification.
