Pair of Antique French Louis XV Style Walnut Nightstands – Open Niche & Drawer – Late 19th Century

A charming matching pair of antique French walnut bedside tables in the Louis XV style. Each table has a shaped, softly serpentine top, a scalloped gallery on three sides pierced with a pretty trefoil motif, an open niche for books or a lamp, and a small drawer with a brass knob below. Elegant cabriole legs complete the silhouette. The walnut has taken on a warm, deep patina over the decades. A true pair is not easy to find, and these will bring authentic French country charm to a bedroom, or work just as well as side tables in a living room or entry.

Late 19th century, France.
