Vintage 1980s Brass Six-Light Chandelier in the Style of Maison Charles and Maison Jansen
A sculptural brass chandelier from the 1980s. Six gracefully curved arms sweep out from a central cluster of sculpted brass plantain leaves and slender reed stems. Each arm ends in a petal-shaped bobèche and a cream candle-style sleeve, and the candlestick hangs from a flower-shaped canopy on a brass chain. It comes with six recent black shades with a shiny gold interior, which give a warm, glowing light. Lovely in a dining room, entryway or bedroom. It is not signed and is offered in the style of these houses, not as their work.
I also have two matching wall sconces in the same model in my shop. Message me if you would like to complete the set.
Diameter: 64 cm (25.2 in)
Height of the fixture: 45 cm (17.7 in)
Total height with chain: 70 cm (27.6 in)
Material: Brass. Six recent shades, black with gold interior.
Condition: Very good overall condition for its age.
Sockets: 6 x E14 (small European candelabra base). E14 bulbs are easy to find online, including in 120V and dimmable LED versions.
Wiring: European wiring, no plug. It is hardwired, so it connects directly to your ceiling wiring like any US fixture. It works on 120V with 120V bulbs. It is not UL-listed, so installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
