A rare silver plated ice bucket designed by Luc Lanel for Christofle. Originally part of a collection created by famous brand Christofle in the 1930s called "Ondulations" specifically for the First Class bar and restaurant of the great ocean liner SS Normandie - the main rival to our own The Queen Mary. The two ships sparred to achieve The Blue Riband, whisking the great and the good speedily across the Atlantic.
The ice bucket is in great antique condition. Circa 1930s
